🟢The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MHESR) of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) of the Italian Republic are announcing a Call for Joint R&I Actions involving the Italian and Algerian research systems.
🟢The Call is a first initiative in the framework of bilateral cooperation in higher education, research and innovation between Algeria and Italy through joint actions aimed at supporting research projects, mobility and training of scholars and researchers, access to infrastructures and strengthening innovation ecosystems.
🟢With a total budget of 1,5 M€ for both Algerian and Italian  parties, the Call addresses proposals in the thematic areas of:
✅food,
✅energy security,
✅agri-tech,
✅water management,
✅blue skills,
✅protection of the Mediterranean Sea.
🟢Project proposals shall cover one or more (with a max. of two) of the priority activity areas:
🔴Basic and industrial research projects
🔴Mobility of students, faculty members, and researchers
🔴Education and training programmes
🔴Innovation ecosystems
🟢The Joint Call 2024 will be published on the 30th of September with a deadline for the application on the 15th of January 2025.
🟢Project proposals, which shall include at least one Algerian organisation and one Italian organisation, shall be submitted to both:  MHESR for the Algerian applicants and MUR for the Italian applicants.
